It was interesting to gain exposure and experience in the corporate tax world. I was mostly doing provision work as well as contributing to the finalization of the company’s federal tax return. I was given meaningful work the majority of the time, not just scanning and printing.

Describe the office environment/culture.

The environment of the tax department is very different from the environment in other departments. The tax department works later and gets to the office later than other departments and there isn’t a ton of supervision so you have a lot of freedom in your work.

Advice to future interns applying to this company?

Don’t be afraid to show your personality and go out of your way to make friends at work. Being an intern doesn’t mean you have to be serious all the time in order to be impressive.
